Spring
Offensive are an exciting young band from Oxford,
England, the home of internationally acclaimed
acts such as Radiohead, Supergrass and Foals. From
this small university town, they've established
themselves firmly on the national scene. And now
they're making strides across the Atlantic to the
USA, as they team up with Burning Building
Recordings to release their debut album Pull Us
Apart in June 21, 2011.
Combining math and post-rock with layers of vocal
harmonies and pounding rhythms, their sound is
unique and dynamic, though influenced by many U.S.
bands, including Death Cab For Cutie, The
National, Low and Brand New.
While at home they've played festivals and shared
stages with renowned U.K. and European acts such
as Frank Turner, Jeniferever and The Go! Team,
they had never considered touring or promoting
themselves in the U.S. until BBR got involved. Now
their American friends can get hold of the music,
championed and tipped by the U.K.'s media.
The band states, "the U.S. has a wonderfully
eclectic scene, and we're thrilled to be releasing
through BBR, whose roster demonstrates that. We're
huge fans of all the bands on the label, and huge
fans of the Seattle scene in general, which has
given us so much influential and inspiring music
over the years. We've always thought that our
songs would be suited to an American audience, so
it's great to get the chance to prove it."
